RedRover Readers
Date: Saturday, June 30 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Location: 1122 S Street, Sacramento
Opportunity: Train to be a RedRover Readers volunteer and help children explore the human-animal bond through stories and discussion. Both teachers and volunteers are welcome to attend. Email info@volunteersac.org
Afternoon Receptionist
Date: Ongoing
Location: 3414 4th Ave., Sacramento
Opportunity:Wellspring Women’s Center in Oak Park, nurtures the innate goodness and personal self esteem of women and their children. Their drop-in center provides respite and services based on “hospitality with dignity and love.” A receptionist is needed to greet visitors Monday-Friday from 1pm-4pm. Email info@volunteersac.org.
Day on the Farm
Date: Saturday, May 19 (9am-6pm) and Sunday, May 20 (7am-6pm)
Location: Soil Born Farms American River Ranch, Rancho Cordova
Opportunity: Volunteers are needed to help with Soil Born Farm’s annual Day on the Farm event. Help with cooking demos, nutrition education activities, kid’s activities, plant sale, etc. Email info@vounteersac.org
